When it comes to personal growth and development (and professional development, too), we all have a different perception of what it means and how we want to go about it. Also, what we’re ready for.
I tend to describe it as a spectrum – some of us are just starting out and may begin by doing something like a little reading. Some of us have been working at it a little longer and may regularly engage in a variety of other, more active pursuits, like workshops or coaching.
But no matter where you are on the spectrum of personal growth, I believe there is a certain point where we can all do it a little differently and get so.much.more out of it – i.e. results, change, answers. Because regardless of your approach, it’s always possible to stagnate. At the same time – it’s possible to take responsibility and level up.
I wanted to talk a bit more about this and share some insight and tips on how to get more from your personal growth in this week’s YouTube video. Check it out.
What do you think? Ever feel stuck in your personal growth?
Again, wherever you’re at, just know that in engaging intentionally with any of this, you’re going deeper than any kind of passive engagement (*ahem* scrolling, reading but not implementing, etc.). It’s usually easier with a partner to keep you on track, and I swear I’m not just saying that because I can help. I’m saying it because I’ve been there, and I’ve been trapped in my head many a time and having someone to guide me out of it (and remind me of the big points I talked about in the video!) got me the growth and results I was looking for.
But you can do it on your own too, little by little.
And that pause and focus will lead to better results, whatever results you may be seeking.
If, perchance, the results you’re seeking are clarity and direction? Good news! I’m doing my signature workshop, the Get it Sorted Session, again in May! It’s going to be 90-minute sessions for three Wednesday evenings in a row, and it’s going to be everything you need right now. If you’re local to the Saint Louis area and are interested, or know someone who is, email me now to get a head start on securing your spot.
