A few months back, I got a request to be a guest on a podcast. That’s not unusual because I get them a lot. But I must admit, this was one of the most exciting and gratifying ones to date because it was from an amazing and well-respected female physician of color, Dr. Franchell Hamilton.
I was pretty nervous to talk to her when the recording time came. Who am I to talk to a surgeon about wellness? Well, turns out, I’m someone valuable in that conversation.
And it was a great conversation, indeed. We talked about how to uncomplicate healthy living – which is niiiiiice and relevant right about now, a few weeks in a new year when healthy living is starting to feel overly complicated already. I even shared a pivotal method for supporting this that Dr. F hadn’t heard of. A few other things of note:
- My pillar for turning health, exercise, and self-care from a chore into a gift
- Dr. F’s concept of active play
- Biases about bodies
- The central question to ask in order to uncomplicate healthy living for you
- Dr. F’s insight into the problem with cosmetic surgeries – of which she performs many
Check it out when you have a few minutes – right around 30, to be more specific. It’s a short episode with a lot of useful info, if you’re interested in transformational health stuff. You can listen by clicking on the image, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
