I started writing this blog half a dozen times, and I still can’t figure out how to introduce it. I want to share a podcast with you, but I also want to give you a sound bite, in case you don’t want to listen to the episode. I can’t seem to pick it though, and I’m sorry for that. I know we all crave that quick tidbit we can use right away and not have to think too much about, but I guess sometimes, I think you just have to sit down and dig in to find the juicy stuff.
Basically, we have to meet each other halfway, OK?
So, I guess I’ll start here: if the title of this blog perked your cat ears up, listen to this podcast. If you have a nagging feeling that you’re following a lot of rules, living by a lot of shoulds and have tos, and generally not feeling great about it, listen to the podcast. If you need a reminder that it’s possible to do things completely YOUR way, and still find your version of healthy, happy, and successful, listen to the podcast.
The host, Kelsey, and I have a lot in common. Our journeys personally and professionally have been similar, especially in the fitness and coaching and philosophy and evolution space, so our conversation was raw and rich and robust. We covered a lot of ground in just one hour, and I think it’s worth more than a sound bite.
Y’know, maybe that’s the sound bite itself that I was struggling to find for you –
Living our lives with intention and connection and a deep inner knowing of who we are and what’s meaningful for us – our lives, our bodies, our way – is worth so much more than a sound bite.
In our conversation, we break down doing it your way in fitness, life, and body image. We talk about personality assessments and labels and how easy they are to live in. I share all about what self-discovery coaching really is, how it works, and why you probably want to do it. We unexpectedly talk about our retirement from social media. And, of course, we talk about Dolly, and you’ll even find out what Dolly’s human design is all about in the beginning of the episode, which is super fun.
Also, if you’re into human design, that’s another reason to check it out. Kelsey is an intuitive human design reader, and a lovely option for learning or coaching, if you’re into that and joy. And I would darn sure hope you’re into joy.
Anyway, like I said, it’s a meaty hour, and well worth your time. Check out the Find Your Awesome Podcast anywhere you listen to podcasts, or directly via the button below. My episode is good (obv), but there are lots of other incredible guests and topics you’ll probably find interesting and insightful too. (Including my friend Dacy’s episode here.)
