You know what I really like about adding these posts to my blog? They’re kinda like old-school blog posts. Like, where 99% of us got started, including some of the “biggest” names out there. Is it too soon to bring back blogging? Eh, don’t care, doing it anyway 🙂
After a bit of reflection and a solid gut check, I’ve decided to push up my next group of Fitness Unraveled to January 25, 2021! Normally, I’d facilitate groups starting in April and September, but, well, these aren’t normal times. I think we’re all a bit more ready to embrace that and everything that comes along with it, so I’m rolling with it, and I hope you will too.
Basically, if you’ve been feeling a little off, or frustrated, or not-so-confident about your body or your fitness this year – rather than jumping into yet another New Year fitness or diet challenge, how about trying a new way? One that’ll actually work for you, forever? Testimonial time:
Think about it. Find all the details here, and sign up for the waitlist if you want early access to registration. It’s an intimate group with a limited number of spots, so if anything about it sparks your interest, lean into that. I’m always happy to answer questions via email or call.
In other news, my husband and I took up snowshoeing! And it’s amazing!!!!! Turns out, I love winter in the mountains!!! More than anything, I love spending time in nature with my love and best friend, and we get to keep doing it year-round with this fun new activity. Last weekend, we even had a deer meander right across our path, about 20 feet away. So cool!
We had a lovely Thanksgiving together, and like most people, I had a crapload of leftovers. I finished them off via smoked turkey Cuban sandwiches, and also made the most delicious pumpkin Bundt cake with the leftover pumpkin! Since posting every detail of my life no longer rules it, I didn’t take a picture, but here’s the recipe. Highly recommended for all your holiday dessert needs!
Now, with the obviously exception of Dolly, I can think of absolutely nobody better to be named Billboard’s Woman of the Year than Cardi B. I have become SUCH a big fan over the last couple of years. I mean, I just relate so hard to this:
“I want to show people that you can do positive things, but you can also be yourself,” she says. “I like justice. I like to work and be creative. But I also like popping my pussy.”
Read on for the full interview, which will only make you fall harder for and respect Cardi B that much more.
Speaking of Dolly and Cardi, is anyone surprised that my Spotify 2020 Wrapped is chock full of Ms. Parton and Harry Styles and Janet Jackson?
No. Absolutely no one is surprised.
I frigging LOVE this yearly review though! So much fun to see all my favorites and trends, and just as much fun to talk about it with other music-lover friends! It was a poppy year, and I’m not mad about it at all. Here’s my 2020 Top 100 playlist, and I’d love to hear about your 2020 music favs too 🙂
Speaking of, in case you’re still fighting your holiday spirit, maybe it’s time you go ahead and embrace it with a Holly Dolly Christmas show. If you’re a SiriusXM subscriber, you can stream the holiday special here. If you’re not, throw on the playlist on Spotify immediately and just try not to cheer up. (Not possible.)
That’s it for this week! Hope you enjoyed!
